Freshness first.
At the farms, we can look at the flowers up close and ask the growers about them. It's a much better look than an ordering photo gives us.
Flowers by LD
From the grower to Pocatello
Good flowers don’t happen by accident.
We go looking for them.
Our buying trips
Every year, we travel to visit flower farms and the world flower market, hand-selecting blooms for Flowers by LD. We walk the rows, talk with growers and get a closer look at what’s growing.
The photos here are from those trips. That's us in the greenhouses, looking at roses and lilies and talking with the people who grow them.
We come back with flowers we've picked out ourselves and ideas we're excited to try in the shop.

Getting to know our growers
We want to know the people we're buying from, not just the names on an order sheet. Visiting gives us time to ask questions and see what they're growing.

What comes home with us
At the farms, we can look at the flowers up close and ask the growers about them. It's a much better look than an ordering photo gives us.
We're looking for colors we want to work with, strong stems and interesting shapes. Sometimes one variety catches our eye and gives us an idea for a whole arrangement.
We buy from growers around the world and from local farms when they're in season. What's available changes through the year, and our bouquets change with it.
Around the world. Close to home.
Our flowers come from trusted growers in Colombia, Ecuador, Holland, California, Oregon, Washington, Florida and Africa, as well as Southeast Idaho and local farms when they’re in season.
That gives us a wide selection throughout the year, with local flowers joining the mix when they're available.
